Our adobe - La Canada, CA, '50

The finished adobe home at 1037 Lavender Lane. While building it, dad also built another abobe to generate some extra cash. He always said an adobe house keeps you "cool in the summer and warm in the winter". While building that second adobe, he fell on scaffolding and broke his left leg.
